The Mid-Atlantic Marine Education Association would like to invite formal and non-formal educators to attend the MD & DC Regional Mini-Conference on Saturday, June 11th from 9:00am-3:00pm. The conference will be held at Piscataway at Fort Washington Marina in Fort Washington, MD. The program begins with an intro to the site and kayaking by naturalist/owner/MAMEA member, Judy Lathrop of Atlantic Kayak Company. Then Judy will take us out on the water for approximately three hours. We will spend the day kayaking through small creeks, islands, wild rice, water lilies, and see TONS of beautiful wildlife! We will also have the chance to seine and each participant will bring their own lunch to eat on the gorgeous Piscataway! Previous kayaking experience is NOT necessary. All skill levels are welcome!
For a sneak peak, check out Atlantic Kayak Company’s website: http://atlantickayak.com/
